Brewhouse murder trial continues Monday

The Crown in the Brewhouse murder trial rested its case on Friday. However, the defence still plans to present evidence, meaning the 10-day first-degree-murder trial will be extended.

Over the past two weeks, Crown Prosecutor Shannon Davis presented 16 witnesses for testimony, including that of a forensic video analyst. The defence is expected to present evidence and witnesses starting Monday.

Nicholas Harris was charged in 2017 for the October 1, 2014 shooting death of John William Rock outside of the Canadian Brewhouse in Grande Prairie. He has been in custody since his arrest. Both men are from Edmonton.
