Two men have pleaded guilty to the killing of a 20-year-old in High Prairie. Ryan Ellefson was found unconscious at a gas station in High Prairie in the early morning hours of July 29th, 2015 and later passed away in hospital.
Dakota Anderson of Gift Lake and Jesse Prestly Laboucan were arrested and charged with Ellefson’s murder in January 2016. They were both 20 years old at the time. Recently, the Crown stayed their charges so they could be moved from the Court of Queen’s Bench into provincial court.
The two are now charged with manslaughter. They will be sentenced in High Prairie on January 31, 2019.
