At least one driver suspected to be under the influence was taken off the road during a check stop Sunday. Grande Prairie RCMP and Enforcement Services teamed up to target impaired drivers and managed to pull over 283 vehicles.
“RCMP maintain a strong partnership with Grande Prairie Enforcement Services and both agencies work closely together on a daily basis in an effort to continue to keep our community safe,” says Corporal Maria Ogden.
One person is now facing impaired driving charges, while three driving suspensions were issued. Police say they also executed two warrants and issued 68 violation tickets.
