A search warrant at the Parkside Inn has led to charges against three people. Grande Prairie RCMP say they were looking into a resident of the motel for drug trafficking and arrested the trio on May 31st.
Police reportedly seized two illegally owned guns and three illegal magazines, as well as a small amount of meth and what they call evidence of drug trafficking. Constable Melanie McIntosh says RCMP are aware of potential criminal activity at the 100th Avenue location and are working to address it with community partners.
The three suspects are all from Grande Prairie. A 29 year old man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, while a 41 year old man and 27 year old man are facing several counts of caress storage and unauthorized possession of a firearm or ammunition.
