A social media post threatening a Grande Prairie school caught the attention of law enforcement internationally.
Local RCMP say they were alerted to a post threatening “to shoot up a school” early May 7, 2018. According to police the threat was general and not targeted to one particular school. Those alerts came from police across Canada, the U.S. and even the FBI.
RCMP say they were able to locate the suspect and she was arrested without incident. 19 year-old Morgan Cullen has been charged with uttering threats. She was not registered as a student anywhere at the time of the threat.
She is scheduled to appear in a Grande Prairie court July 25, 2018.
