Peace Wapiti School Division is looking for feedback from parents on what should be done with two modular classrooms approved by the province. The school district has seen population growth in the Wembley area, and it’s taking the opportunity to talk about programming at Wembley Elementary and Helen E. Taylor School.
One option is to add the modulars to Wembley Elementary and keep grade four there, and the second is to move grade four to Helen E. Taylor and place the modulars there. The latter would create a K to grade 3 school with room that could be used for a junior kindergarten, and a grade 4 to 9 school.
A meeting will be held April 19th at the elementary school, where people will be asked for their thoughts on the possible options. It will start at 6 p.m.
