There has been another report of a vehicle shot by a gun along Highway 40. Grande Prairie RCMP say the driver was heading south on the highway, two kilometres north of the Wapiti Bridge, when they heard a loud noise around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The windshield had been damaged, and it’s believed to be from a gunshot. The driver was not injured.
There have been several reports of vehicles shot along Highway 40 since October 2017. At this point, the RCMP investigation hasn’t found any connection between this incident and the previous ones.
Police continue to look into the case, and ask anyone with information to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers. Mounties are also still looking for a suspect from last fall’s shootings.
