A B.C. man has been charged with assaulting a police officer after an incident at a motel in Grande Prairie. RCMP were called to reports of a disturbance of the north side motel around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6th.
When police got there, they reportedly found a man described as agitated, and asked him to leave. When he didn’t, he was arrested, but in the process tried to fight the officers and take away one of their weapons.
The 43 year old suspect from Surrey is also charged with attempting to disarm a police officer and mischief. He’s set to appear in Grande Prairie court on March 26th.
