Public getting look at next phases of downtown rehab

Grande Prairie residents and business owners can learn more about progress on the downtown rehabilitation project at two upcoming meetings.

From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, businesses in the current downtown construction zone can get an an updated project schedule and information about construction. They can also ask any questions of City representatives, who will be at Laurel’s Peace Country Preserves.

The public can then head to the Montrose Cultural Centre on Wednesday, September 27th to get at look at designs for phases three and four. They will take crews along 100th Avenue between 102nd and 100th Street and then 100th to 98th Street.

Official timelines for either phase have not yet been set. Detailed drawings and city staff will be on hand from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Rotary Room. Feedback will be taken and refreshments served.
