There will be even more road closures downtown this weekend for the Grande Prairie Street Performers Festival. From July 21st to 23rd, 100th Avenue will be closed between 99th Street and 101st Street, along with 100th Street from 101st Avenue to 99th Avenue.
Construction already has several parts of the downtown area closed to traffic. 101st Street is shut down from 99th Avenue to 103rd Avenue, with the exception of the intersections with 99th and 100th Avenues. 101st Avenue is also closed from 100th Street to 101st and 101st to 102nd.
People who normally commute through the area are asked to find a different route, and people heading to the festival should give themselves extra time to find parking and walk to the event.
