Sprinkler systems have now been set up to protect the Nose Creek Settlement in the MD of Greenview from wildfire.
10 people have been evacuated due to the threat of the Red Deer Creek fire, which has grown to an estimated 35,000Â hectares.
It’s believed 3,000Â of that is on the Alberta side of the border, but it’s been hard to map as it has been unsafe to get close enough due to fire and smoke conditions.
There is a second fire in the Two Lakes area, which is 30 hectares in size.
