UPDATE: Fort St. John RCMP say the woman involved in the crash has come forward and has been identified by police.
A man has been killed in a motorcycle crash in Fort St. John. RCMP were called to the traffic circle near the Fort St. John Hospital just before 2:45 a.m Thursday morning.
The motorcycle had hit a barrier and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. However, police say their investigation has found that there was a woman on the bike as well and she ran away before officers got there. It’s unclear who was driving the bike at the time.
The woman is described as Caucasian, roughly 5’8″ with a medium build. She has dark coloured, shoulder length hair and was wearing dark pants and a top.
RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the fatal crash or who could help in their investigation to come forward to the local detachment or Crime Stoppers. The name of the deceased is not being released.
