You’ll want to make sure you’re looking up every once in awhile this month as the city starts annual Tree Pruning program this week. City Aborists will be inspecting every tree within their borders and will be trimming those that might be posing a hazard. They will also be cutting down ones that might be diseased or damaged by insects.
The parks department will also be taking a look at the Muskoseepi Corridor, between 84th and 68th Avenues over the next two weeks, trimming and cutting down trees that are deemed a hazard.
The work will be carrying on into September. Residents are urged to look out for “Tree work ahead” signs and pylons as well as to not enter any closed off areas.
