Over $1.9 million has been approved to go into some road work around the city of Grande Prairie. The Road Rehabilitation and Overlay Program will include 116th Street from 97th Avenue across Highway 43 past 106th Avenue. The province will be absorbing the cost of the 116 Street and Highway intersection overlay.
The eastbound lanes on 84th Avenue will also be worked on from 108th Street to 113th Street. Crews can also be expected to be seen on 98th Street from 84th Avenue to 88th Avenue.
The project also includes some catch basin repairs, concrete spot repairs and the placement of a storm water catch basin into the city of Grande Prairie cemetery.
A notice of construction will be handed out to nearby businesses and homes prior to starting.
