Sunrise Records replacing Prairie Mall HMV

Sunrise Records is coming to Grande Prairie. It will be replacing the HMV in the Prairie Mall, which closed in late February.

Sunrise announced it was taking over 70 HMV locations after the company was put into receivership, but which ones are being announced in stages. The Ontario-based music store plans to place a major focus on selling vinyl records, and expanding its clothing sections.

The shop is expected to open in April. The company has offered to hire former HMV employees.
