The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre Walking With Our Sisters received a chunk of money from the 100 Plus Women Who Care meeting last night. The organization presented to the group of women who all pitch in $100 four times a year and then vote on which group will get the collective amount of money.
Walking With Our Sisters is a Commemorative Art Installation for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women of Canada and the United States. It comes to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie in June 2018.
The group received over $11,000 for getting the most support from the group. Other groups that presented were Rising Above and the Grande Prairie Children’s Festival.
