A 29 year old Grande Prairie man is facing charges of criminal negligence causing death after a collision near Fort McMurray. On Saturday February 11th, there was a 5 vehicle collision at an intersection on Highway 63 that also involved a semi truck.
A 65 year old Fort McMurray man was pronounced dead at the scene while a 16 year old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 63 was closed north bound while police investigated the collision with vehicles rerouted through Gregoire.
RCMP have not yet released the name of the accused as charges haven’t been sworn in court. He will appear in Fort McMurray court on April 26th, 2017.
