A community research project is ongoing in the city on the local immigrant and refugee population. The Newcomer Survey will be used to highlight services that can be used for newcomers and help with their needs. It will also track trends in Grande Prairie as well as provide information for a strategic plan to increase the inclusion of people who had just moved to the swan city.
People who would like to contribute 15 minutes and were originally born in another country can find the survey online. The research is taking into account people who moved to the area at any time and it will also include temporary foreign workers, international students, and refugees.
The study will close on January 31st, 2017.
