RCMP are looking for a large semi truck after a 28 year old man hit on Highway 43 and it drove off. At around 1:00 am December 27th, the man and a woman were walking westbound on the highway on the north side of the westbound lanes when he man was hit by a truck. EMS, the Valleyview Fire department, and police attended but the man was declared dead at the scene.
Officers are on the look out for an extended tandem axle semi with a closed box and they are looking to speak with the driver. According to witnesses, the truck did get damaged on the front passenger side. Police say the driver could be unaware that they were involved in the collision and they are asking company owners or managers to check their fleet vehicles for the damage.
