An elderly man is still in hospital after being hit by a vehicle Thursday. The 70 year old was crossing 100th Street near the turnoff to McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s by the Prairie Mall around 11:45 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle heading southbound.
He was injured but is in stable condition. The vehicle’s driver wasn’t hurt.
RCMP Corporal Shawn Graham reminds people to use sidewalks when possible and cross the street using designated crosswalks. Pedestrians should also make eye contact with nearby drivers to make sure they’re seen before crossing the road.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
