Altercation before Prairie Mall shooting leads to charges against more men

Four more people have been charged in connection with the shooting at the Prairie Mall. RCMP say there was an altercation before the single shot was fired, injuring three people.

Stemming from that incident, 49 year old Richard Vaillancourt has been charged with robbery and 33 year old Doug Wheeler has been charged with assault. They’ll appear in court on November 28th and October 19th respectively.

24 year old Tevin Watson and 25 year old Kyle Tyler-Ross have also both been charged with failing to comply with conditions and appeared in court last month. All four men are from Grande Prairie.

The man accused in the shooting will be back in court this Friday for a bail hearing. 23 year old Liban Musse was arrested in Calgary on an Alberta-wide warrant and is facing several firearms charges.
