RCMP arrest six alleged fentanyl dealers

Grande Prairie RCMP believe they’ve arrested six street level drug dealers. With the help of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams, mounties spent July investigating growing concerns about the use and sale of fentanyl.

That led to the arrest of 45 year old Quentin Smith and 41 year old Jeffrey Sheppard who are both charged with one count each of trafficking a controlled substance. 50 year old Donna Wilson, 39 year old Michelle Kelly, and 25 year old Shelby Hingley are each facing two counts.

In addition, 44 year old Donald Cameron has been charged with trafficking the controlled substance of fentanyl, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the controlled substance of cocaine, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Sheppard will appear in court on August 17th and the rest on August 24th. It’s believed their arrests will reduce further harm to the community.
