The rumours should become official Wednesday: Alberta Conservative MP Jason Kenney is expected to announce he’s making the jump to provincial politics, taking a run at the PC leadership. The announcement will likely be made in Calgary, which will be followed up by an appearance in Grande Prairie.
Kenney will be at the former Pomeroy Arabians facility west of the airport at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend.
The Tory leadership job has been empty since Jim Prentice quit, and Kenney recently renewed his membership. He’s been outspoken about wanting to see the Progressive Conservatives and the Opposition Wildrose merge.
