City gauging interest in new performing arts centre

If you feel there is a need for a performing arts center in Grande Prairie now is the time to speak up. The city is asking members of the community can take part in an online survey to help gauge the need for a Performing arts and Media Centre.

Some of the questions are related to how much you support theatre and dance in the area and how much you spend on performances. The results will be made public through a final report to City Council.

A centre is just one of the features proposed for the development of the South Montrose site. Plans are already in place to build a greenway and concourse, with construction slated to start this summer.

You can find the survey on the City’s website.
