The County of Grande Prairie has issued a fire advisory. Firefighters have responded to six calls in the last 24 hours and warm, dry and windy conditions are increasing the risk of wildfires.
Residents who have permits are being asked not to burn and no new permits will be issued until further notice. As always, burning is not allowed when winds are higher than 12 kilometres an hour, and there is never any burning allowed in the Dunes area.
