GPRC athlete runs away with ACAC Female Athlete of the Year award

For the second year in a row, a Grande Prairie Regional College student has won Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year. Jamie Wigmore has been named in the female category for the 2015-2016 year across all the ACAC sports. Recently, she has won the 2016 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Academic All Canadian Distinction after getting a 4.0 GPA.

She has also received the CCAA National Scholar Award as well as the Academic Award each year she was at the college. Across all ACAC sports, she has the most medals and awards in the Cross Country Running and Indoor track realm at the collegiate level.

The Female athlete of the year award last year went to Mirelle Martens.
