Two charged with attempted murder in High Prairie

Two High Prairie residents have been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing Wednesday morning. RCMP says a 34 year old man opened his door around 1 a.m. and was attacked by two people he knew.

The pair fled the scene and the victim was taken to hospital by his girlfriend. He has since been transported to Edmonton where he’s being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested the suspects at their home later that morning and say they’re not looking for anyone else. 24 year old Sally Duquette and 43 year old Craig Downey are both facing counts of attempted murder and breach of an undertaking. Downey is also charged with obstruction of a police officer.
