Bud Country Fever 2016 cancelled

There will be no Bud Country Fever in Grande Prairie this summer. Organizers say that with the economic downturn and the low Canadian dollar, they wouldn’t be able to deliver the level of event the community has gotten used to.

The country music festival has lived in the Peace Country for the past 20 years and in addition to providing family entertainment, it has given money back to local not-for-profits and provided a platform for local artists.

Owner Joel Acton says he and Sibylle personally thank everyone who has attended, volunteered or invested in the show over the past two decades. No word on whether it could return in the future.
