68 ave twinning project rerouting foot traffic in Muskoseepi Park

The twinning project of 68 ave continues until the fall and will cause a pedestrian walkway path to close starting tomorrow. Project Engineer Daniel Dawson says they are closing the path that runs underneath the bridge to ensure the safety of the people walking on the trail. There will be different routes available and signs will be put up to direct foot traffic.

The rerouting will send people walking or biking across 68 ave to the Community Knowledge Campus then along 67 ave in Grande Banks. That route will eventually meet up with the South Bear Creek and Muskoseepi trail system.

Work on the twinning project of 68 ave will have this part of the trail closed until about November.

The cost of the project is set at $6.9-million.
