The January 15th explosion at Nexen’s Long Lake facility near Fort McMurray has claimed a second life. 30 year old Dave Williams died Monday, at the University of Alberta Hospital burn unit.
His death follows fellow Nexen employee 52 year old Dave Foster, who died on the scene of the explosion. No word yet on what caused this incident, which is still under investigation.
The two men were changing the valves on the site’s hydrocracker at the time. The facility has been shut down ever since.
