Northern Lake College has officially opened its Fairview campus.
Starting in September, Northern Lakes College (NLC) will begin to host in-person learning, including pre-employment & apprenticeship trades and health-care programming, in Fairview.
“This is an exciting new chapter for Northern Lakes College and for the Fairview community. Reaching this milestone has been a truly collaborative effort, made possible by the commitment of our community partners and, most importantly, the Government of Alberta,” said NLC President and CEO, Dr. Glenn Mitchell.
Back in October of 2025, Northwestern Polytechnic announced that they will be closing their Fairview campus. NLC says the transition for them to take-over the campus was only made possible due to funding, and community support from the region.
A number of dignitaries attended the ribbon cutting, including Premier Danielle Smith and Minister of Advanced Education Myles McDougall.
After the ribbon cutting, Fairview residents were invited to explore the campus, meet NLC staff, learn about programs and services, and visit program learning sites.
More information about NLC programs can be found on their website.
