Tiny Hands of Hope’s Walk to Remember to take place next month

Tiny Hands of Hope will be hosting their 14th annual Walk to Remember event next month.

Organizers say the event is put on for anyone who may have experienced any kind of pregnancy or infant loss.

Board Leader for the charity, Tia Sheehan says attendees can gather and connect with others who may have went through the same journey that they have.

“The Walk to Remember is super important for our community. A lot of the families that have had pregnancy and infant loss haven’t had the chance to have a funeral or a memorial.”

“A lot of the times families that have experienced these types of losses just don’t talk about it because they don’t want to make other people uncomfortable.”

During the event, there will be a walk where everyone will take a short stroll through Muskoseepi Park, where attendees can see the names of all the lost loved ones.

After the walk, there will be a community barbecue as well.

The deadline to register a name during the walk is September 5th.

The event will be held on September 19, from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Registration can be found on the charities website.
