Let’s Get Moving event raises more than $2,400 for charities

Elevation Yoga and Fitness’s Let’s Get Moving event raised just over $2400 for four different local charities last month.

On July 26, Elevation Yoga and Fitness hosted their Let’s Get Moving event, inviting the community to get active.

The price to get into one of the four 45 minute classes was by donation.

By the end of the event, they raised $2,418.45 for four different charities, including: $377 for the Family Ed Society, $525 for Tiny Hands of Hope, $717 for the Odyssey house and $798 for Bandaged Paws.

Co-owner Jordyn Kossman says the event had one of the best outcomes that they could imagine.

“It was literally the best outcome that could have happened, and we were expecting like half as much we were able to raise. The fact that the community was able to come together and raise over two thousand dollars is incredible.”

“It was amazing. We had over 300 people, and we were able to raise over two thousand dollars for four different non-profit organizations.”
Other Co-owner Rylan Dennis said that his and Jordyn’s age may have shocked some participants.
“I think everybody was very surprised to see two young local owners that had put on a very affordable event for families,” Dennis said.
The two say that they are not ruling out doing this event again, and could possibly turn into a annual event.
