Mobile mammography screening trailer to visit Peace River next month

A mobile mammography screening trailer will be making a stop in Peace River in August.

The screenings will be offered to individuals that are eligible aged from 45 to 74. The trailer will first be parked at the Marshall Eliuk Peace River Community Health Centre from August 4 to 5.

Officials say that mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early when treatment may work better, and could save lives down the road.

Screenings are available at no cost for eligible individuals, but appointments are required, you can call 1-800-667-0604 to book an appointment.
