The Grande Prairie Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention is seeking for more golfers to register in their 2nd annual tournament.
Staff with the RCSP Charity Classic, say the fundraising raised from the event is crucial towards them, in order to keep putting on the programs that they do.
Operations and Administrative Lead with the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention, Jenn Vos says that registration is open for the June 13th fundraiser.
“We run multiple programs that serve members of our community who are youth, adults. We offer men’s support group’s. There is so many things that we can offer support for mental health and suicide prevention.”
Vos added that as of Friday, May 22 roughly 40 golfers have registered, which is not ideal for the tournament.
“We’re not really where we want to be, we’re looking to have 120 golfers.”
Registration is open until the day of the tournament, unless they sell out.
Vos mentioned that there is more than one way to get involved with the tournament if you choose not to golf. Vos says that they are still looking for a lunch and dinner sponsor, and there is still plenty of hole sponsorships available for $1000 each. A silent auction will also be held.
You can register for the tournament on their website.
The tournament is slated to be held on June 13th, at the Pipestone Golf Course.
