ATCO investigating power outage in Grande Prairie

The cause of a power outage in Grande Prairie affecting more than 6,000 ATCO customers is under investigation.

According to ATCO Energy, the outage which is impacting communities including parts of Wedgewood, Patterson Place, Taylor Estates, Countryside South and Willowood Estates began at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday and is impacting 6,631 customers.

As of 8:16 p.m., a crew had been dispatched to investigate the outage, and there was no estimated time for power to be restored.
