Survey invites Grande Prairie residents to help shape local tourism

The Grande Prairie community is invited to complete a survey aimed at helping drive tourism in the region.

According to staff at the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association, the survey asks residents to highlight some of their favourite locations around the city and to discuss some of the benefits and challenges tourism brings to Grande Prairie. Residents who take the survey are also asked to share ideas that may attract new tourism to the region.

This is the first survey the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association has put together independently. Executive director for the GPRTA, Jasmin Greavett, said the organisation wanted to issue its own survey to get more input from locals specifically.

“Tourism thrives when our residents feel proud of the place we call home. Every piece of feedback helps shape the facilities, experiences, and infrastructure that define our community identity. When we invest in what matters to locals, we create a destination others want to discover and that momentum fuels new opportunities, stronger amenities, and long-term growth across the region,” she said.

The survey will run until Jan. 31.

The survey can be found on the GPRTA website.
