County launches Recreation Strategic Plan survey

The County of Grande Prairie is asking residents to complete a survey to help improve county-offered services and programs.

The county said feedback from its countywide recreation strategic plan survey will be used to improve parks, programs and community services over the next 10 years.

The survey asks residents to share their experiences with recreation in the municipality, identify gaps or barriers to accessing services and suggest opportunities and services the county should invest in.

Reeve Amanda McDonald said the survey is an opportunity for residents to have their say.

“This survey gives residents an opportunity to help inform the future of recreation in the County, ensuring our parks, programs, and services reflect what matters most to them. Recreation is essential to building healthy, connected communities. It brings people together, supports physical and mental wellbeing, and enhances quality of life,” she said.

The survey is open until Feb. 6 and can be found on the County of Grande Prairie website.
