Parking ban issued on Grande Prairie priority 1 & 2 snow routes

Parking bans for priority roads and residential snow clearing is now in effect in Grande Prairie.

The parking bans on permanent snow routes are now in effect. The bans will restrict parking on priority 1 and priority 2 roads, from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Monday to Friday until the ban is lifted.

Over the weekend, priority 1 roads were cleared, leading to city crews currently focusing on priority 2 roads, and with crews currently working in the Hillside area, residents are reminded to be aware of the parking bans, and to clear your parked vehicles in the streets for Hillside, VLA, Montrose and Mountainview from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., to help crews clear off the streets.

Once the ban is lifted, a notice will be shared by the city on social media.

For more information on snow clearing, you can check out the city’s website.
