Less drunk drivers on Alberta roads over holidays

There were less collisions involving impaired drivers over the holiday season in Alberta. Between December 23rd and January 3rd, only one fatal collision was reported, down from five in 2014/2015.

There was also only one case of impaired driving causing bodily harm, when there was 7 last year. Overall, RCMP saw a decrease in drunk drivers on provincial highways, handing out 45 less impaired driving charges.

There were also less injuries with 95 people hurt in crashes. That number was up to 135 a year ago.
