The clock is ticking on this year’s Cars for Christmas Lottery. The deadline to buy tickets is tonight at 7 p.m. with the draw on January 5th.
The annual mega lottery goes to support 13 local community groups, like fees for youth who couldn’t otherwise go to Camp Tamarack, upgrades to the Peace Area Motorsports Association facility and snacks and emergency lunches for students who would otherwise go hungry in Grande Prairie Catholic schools. Part of the proceeds will also go towards groups like PARDS to help with the cost of therapeutic horseback riding lessons, GP and District Victims Services, the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation, the SPCA and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Tickets cost $50 or 3 for $100, and can be bought at the kiosk in the Prairie Mall, by calling 780-532-0506 or online at www.carsforchristmas.com. Among the 510 prizes are new trucks, trips, an entertainment package and gift cards.
