ATMs at four Grande Prairie businesses were targeted by thieves last week. Just after 5:45 a.m. last Wednesday, suspects broke the front window of the Money Mart on 97th Avenue and tried to pull a machine out using a tow rope hitched to a vehicle, causing extensive damage.
The same crime was tried at an Esso the same day, the Coca Cola Centre the day before, and the Mac’s in Lakeland the next day. The Peace Region has been plagued by ATM thefts over the past several months.
Anyone with information on any of these attempted robberies is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
