UPDATE: A boil water advisory is in effect for Sexsmith until further notice. Potable water will be available at the Sexsmith Fire Hall. Residents can bring their own containers and access up to five gallons of water per household. Water will be available to residents until further notice.
Aquatera’s Bulk Water Station is temporarily out of service. During this time, customers can access Aquatera’s other bulk water stations in Grande and Dimsdale.
Anyone who drank water after 6 p.m. should monitor for symptoms like gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, intestinal or stomach cramping, intestinal or stomach aches and pains, and dehydration.If symptoms appear, contact Alberta HealthLink at 811.
A water outage has been reported in Sexsmith. The town says Aquatera is currently responding to a water main break and residents in the area may experience low to no water pressure.
“We ask that residents please be mindful of workers in the area. Aquatera is working diligently to resolve this matter and thank customers for their cooperation and patience.”
