The County of Grande Prairie has announced the recipient of the 2015 Farm Family Award.
Dennis and Linda Johnson, along with Dennis’ parents Marvin and Mabel Johnson of Valhalla will be recognized officially at the Peace Country Classic Ag Show.
Four generations of Johnsons farm bison and fescue on their land, which has been in the family since Marvin returned to the region after World War II.
The family is also quite involved in their community with volunteering, and are benefactors of the Valhalla School playground.

The Ag Show banquet will be held on March 15th, and the family will go on to represent the region at Farm Fair International in Edmonton later this year.
