Red Deer Creek wildfire crosses Alberta border

The Red Deer Creek wildfire in B.C. has officially crossed over the Alberta border.

It’s an estimated 1,000 hectares in the Two Lakes area in the MD of Greenview and growing.

It’s located in Township 65, Range 14, west of the 6th Meridian and south of the Wapiti River.

A state of  local emergency and evacuation order is in effect for the MD of Greenview.

It applies to areas south of the Wapiti River, west of Nose Creek and the Two Lakes road, north of Township 61.

Access to Two Lakes Road is currently blocked at kilometre 88.
