The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes is being held this Sunday. Over 40 thousand people across the country will join together on June 4th, 2017 to raise money and awareness for type 1 diabetes.
JDRF has a goal of raising $6 million this year. In Grande Prairie, the walk will be taking place at the Eastlink Centre with registration at 11:00 a.m. and starting at 12:30 p.m.
The organization works to remove the impact of the disease from families in hopes that one day the get rid of it worldwide.
