War Amps 2014 key tags to be delivered this week

The War Amps yearly key tag program will be arriving in Alberta mail boxes later this week.
The key tags, which are confidentially coded with the recipients name and address, have helped return over a million and a half lost keys to their owners since 1946.
Public Affairs Officer Jamie Lunn says those key tags also encourage donations to the War Amps.
She says any money raised can make a huge impact on the life of a child amputee.
“An artificial limb can cost quite a few thousand dollars. The one that I currently wear is around $11,000. It’s a passive arm and doesn’t have any electronic components. Throughout my life, there would be no way that my parents would have been able to afford it, so thank you so much to those who do donate.”

Lunn says all donations go towards supporting child amputees in your own province.
The theme of this years key tags is “Then and Now”.
