Split the Pot Lottery returns to support more than 30 Alberta hospital foundations

The Alberta Split the Pot Lottery has announced the “overwhelming” support from residents is showing once again, as ticket sales approach $250K.

More than 31 hospital and healthcare foundations are participating in the initiative, including several from the Grande Prairie region.

Officials explain playing is easy and works like this- whenever an individual purchases a ticket, they can choose which foundation, including the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital’s, they wish to receive the proceeds from their purchase. Additionally, there is an option for purchasers to support all participating foundations, with proceeds being shared among themselves.

Lottery officials say the time is now to participate, with two weeks down and four to go. As an added bonus, players who choose to purchase their tickets before 11:59 p.m. on December 19th have the chance to win one of this week’s three prizes, which include a $5,000 first prize, and two $1,000 second-place prizes.

Ticket bundles include one for $15, 25 for $25, 100 for $50, and 400 for $100. Details, including ticket purchases and rules, are available on the lottery’s website.
