An autopsy has determined that the man found dead in a vehicle behind the Hillside Mac’s Tuesday was murdered. The medical examiner’s office says the man’s identity has been determined, though his name is not being released.
Police have confirmed that he did live in Grande Prairie. RCMP were called to a townhouse at 100 Avenue and 96 Street around 5 pm Tuesday for a report of shots fired. They found the deceased slumped over the steering wheel of a blue SUV with what appeared to be multiple shattered windows. Police are asking for the public’s help in investigating this homicide.
Specifically, they are looking for information from anyone who might have seen a silver Volkswagen Jetta in the area between 4 pm and 7 pm on Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the local detachment or Crime Stoppers.
