UPDATE: The 17-year-old driver of a vehicle involved in a collision on Highway 2 north of Rycroft on Thursday has died. Spirit River RCMP say two other passengers in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. The victim, from Dixonville, was not identified.
Highway 2 north of Rycroft is closed in both directions due to a fatal crash. Spirit River RCMP says one vehicle is involved at Township Road 790A.
It’s expected traffic will be disrupted for several hours as the scene is examined. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
No details on the victim have been released at this time.
